Automotive expansion valve is thermal expansion valve, also known as throttle valve. It is installed in the air conditioning evaporator entrance, through the temperature sensing element to sense the superheat of refrigerant vapor, adjust the opening of the thermal expansion valve, so as to adjust the flow of refrigerant.
The functions of the expansion valve in the process of vehicle driving are as follows:
1. Provide conditions for refrigerant evaporation. The refrigerant is originally a liquid of high temperature and high pressure. After passing through the expansion valve, it will form a mist of low temperature and low pressure to prepare for further evaporation and refrigeration after entering the evaporator.
2. Control the refrigerant flow. This function mainly reflects the throttling effect of the expansion valve. If the refrigerant with high heat is encountered, the expansion valve will reduce the closing degree and the refrigerant flow rate.
